Block Print- Rearrange (Class Assignment)

For this we had to take someone else's print and change it. You could paint over it or add your own print in it.

Block Print- Collage (Class Assignment)

This was an extension to the original block print. We were assigned to make a collage of our print. My inspiration was music, music notes, sheet music, and my take on how music sounds to me. I liked how I got to be a little more creative with the collage.

Block Print-Regular (Class Assignment)

This project was interesting because it was the first really creative and unique project, in my opinion. It was fun but I thought that it dragged on a little too much.. I would of liked to have it been done soon.

Book Pages - Flower (Class Assignment)

This is probably my least favorite book page only because I did this one last and I ran out of time so I didn't know what to paint for the backround. I started out painting a flower but I didn't like it so I went over it but blue and white paint to create a textual kind of mess you could say. I'm not unhappy with how it turned out but I do think that if I had a little bit more time it would of turned out better.

Book Pages - Opposites (Class Assignment)

For this page I decided that I would paint what was the opposite of what was being said in the story. The story describes saddness and unhappiness so I painted what seemed to me a very happy and joyful backround. I used different brushes to create different textures and I used some gold sparkles to create a bright textual feel.

Book Pages - Floral Collage (Class Assignment)

For this book page I decided to do things a little differently. Instead of painting over all the other excess words, I sharpied over them. Then I added pictures from magazines that I thought were fit to be with the story. And to finish it off I took a black pastel and went over all the rest of the white spots on the page.

Book Pages - Stormy Clouds (Class Assignment)

For this assignment we had to choose words from a book page of our choice that basically tell a story or describe a scene. I really enjoyed doing this. It was fun making up a story and then painting over all the other words to kind of show whats happening. That is what I did for this book page.

2-Point House (Class Assignment)

For this project we not only had to draw a house in 2-Point perspective but we had to paint it. It was one of our first times painting something so I had fun doing it. I got to be creative with texture but I do with that we could have a little bit more time to finish it. But for the most part it was fun to do.

1-Point Room (Class Assignment)

For this project we had to draw a room in 1-Point perspective. We had to use shading and make it mostly look realistic. I'm not much of an architect so I decided to draw murals on the walls to make it more artsy and more of my style. I didn't particularly like this project just because of the fact that I really didn't understand the meaning behind it. But I do think that it turned out well.
